Townsman is an eclectic and trendy restaurant located in Downtown Boston. Head Chef, Matthew Jennings, who has been featured in Food & Wine magazine doesn’t joke around when it comes to making seriously good food. If you have never been to Townsman yet, you are missing out! Especially when it comes to their brunch. Brunch is only offered once a month at the end of each month but it is totally worth the wait. We definitely recommend making reservations as soon as possible because their brunch is a big hit. Two words: Pastry Board. It is definitely a must to start your brunch off with. For only $15 you are offered a variety of seasonal goodies from the pastry team. The brunch menu is of medium size offering a variety of egg and meat combinations. Every single item off the menu sounded so good that deciding was nearly impossible. We ended up trying the Bagel Sandwich and Spicy Pork Sausage. Holy shit were we not disappointed. The Bagel Sandwich is basically a fancier version of a traditional breakfast sammy. It comes with tallegio cheese that is perfectly melted on top of grilled mortadella, topped with a duck egg and garlic-aioli that unbelievable. However, we do wish it came with a side of home fries. The Spicy Pork Sausage is also insanely good. You can never go wrong with classic sunny-side up eggs and house-made sausage on the side. The chimichurri sauce that was drizzled on top made the dish; it added immense amounts of flavor. The prices are reasonable with items ranging between $14-18 and the portion sizes are very filling. The service is impeccable and the staff is very knowledgeable on all of the menu items.
