Love brunch? Stay up to date on Boston's best brunches and upcoming Brunches of Boston events.
We were pumped to be invited to Precinct Kitchen + Bar for brunch. Since it's part of the Loews Boston we knew it'd be classy AF but classy AF doesn't necessarily correlate to a well-rounded brunch experience, so we were eager to see how it'd go. The restaurant itself is super chic with a modern twist on French country vibe, that makes the overall atmosphere of the place pretty relaxed. The menu is of medium size and filled with tempting sweets, meats and eggs as well as some more traditional lunch options (which we obviously ignored). But before even browsing the food, we were side tracked by the blackened shrimp Bloody Mary, which turned out to be one of the best bloodys we've had in Boston. We think it's the blackened shrimp that adds the extra kick of spice but whatever it is this drink is perfection. Next insert the food. We ordered the protein berry pancakes (gf) for the table, the steak and eggs, the lobster omelette, and a chicken sausage and veggie omelette. If it's not obvious from the picture, the quality of this food is very high; like fine dinner steak and fresh, succulent lobster level of high. And to match it tastes amazing. But the most ridiculous part of this meal isn't even the meat... It's those crispy, salty, perfectly flavored tater tots, especially the buffalo, bacon and blue cheese covered ones. Like holy hell we basically want to make love to them. The portion size follows suit, which we appreciate since the food is so bomb. The prices are on the higher end but considering the food quality, taste and portion size they are reasonable.
