Hahvad Gahdens is wicked cute (sorry, we had to do it, and it's true). It's a mix between a dive and a chic gastro pub situated at the bottom of Beacon Hill, a stones throw away from MGH. They have round booth tables perfect for group brunching and the entire space feels open, clean and inviting. The menu is of sufficient size with a large selection of various omelettes and egg concoctions and a few sweet options too. The prices are fine; not high or low, but somewhere in the middle. The food here is pretty average. They do bring a basket of chocolate chip coffee cake to start, which is a nice touch but also kind of fills you up before the meal comes. The toast is well, not toasted and the potatoes aren't as crispy as we'd like. They are cut in little slices which is different and are seasoned, but still nothing amazing. The ingredients in the food are fresh and we like that they use goat cheese, it adds a nice zing! The overall taste of the food is good but not great. The cocktail list however looks awesome!
