We saw an opportunity to sit outside for brunch and we took it, because hey, 65 degrees in Boston during late fall... Well that's just craziness! Five Horses Tavern in the South End has a cozy and inviting inside and a large patio overlooking prime people watching on Columbus. We'll be honest, the menu is pretty funky and it takes a while to figure out what to order. The wait is painstaking (at least it was for us...we're pretty sure they forget about us) but whatever at least the Bloody was good while we passed the time. Insert the food...holy hell. Yes the menu is weird, yes the wait for the food is ridiculous but hot damn the food is so good!! The Carmel sauce on the cinnamon bun alone could send you to heaven. Everything is fresh, well seasoned and delicious. The portions are also big and filling. Prices aren't cheap but they won't break the bank either.
